Takes less reaction mass to launch them into deep space, though admittedly launching them into the sun at least ensures that their freeze-dried corpses aren't accidentally found and reanimated by aliens who then determine that if this is a representative sample of humanity it's best for the galaxy for them nuke the entire planet from orbit.
