I'm kind of enjoying it for the special effects and the fact it's apparently shot on super 16. But I agree, the entire first episode I was waiting for Andrew Lincoln to have the 'okay, explain to me how this came about, how it spread, government response and failure, etc etc' discussion. Instead there's just lots of guff about his wife and kid, and the guy with the son's wife (SHOOT HER. SHOOT. HER.)
