I love Xmas lights all year round, so my living room has them strung in the room all year long. I just like twinkly sparkly gaudy colorful stuff. Like Bollywood. But the best (= worst, and most surreal) xmas lights I ever saw were three years ago, on Fort Ord, when M. and I were driving around down there, because half of it is spooky and abandoned. However, in the more officers' country section, we saw the following front lawn display of xmas lights: green and yellow (mostly green, which were stationary, and yellow, which cycled, and formed the treads) lights forming a TANK. The treads were in motion. I deeply regret not having a camera at that moment.
