It was really fucking white in Toronto. There were some people of colour, and some older people, but compared to the activism I'm used to (which, granted, is around immigration and Palestine solidarity work), it was pretty pasty. Even a general visual scan of my bourgeois lefty neighbourhood on a busy shopping day would have netted more ethnic diversity.
