To that extent, I could do without e-mails, especially of work by students needing my advice OMGRIGHTNOW because the assignment is due TOMORROW.
But then I'd have to do without LJ, and where would that leave me?
I have a phone in my study/office at home, but we never give the number out (it's not the main line but was installed back in the Dark Ages of telephone-line Internet access), so I only use it to phone out & can ignore any incoming call, nyah ha ha. People can still get me through the main line if I'm not checking my e-mail, though. :-(
