I am surprised at how much sympathy I retain for him, despite the fact that he's irredeemable after Jane. I genuinely relate to his character. (Though I am a far better teacher. Seriously. He is an awful teacher. You must explain to your students why they need to do things a certain way, otherwise you end up cleaning semi-dissolved drug dealer off multiple floors of their house.)
He obviously crossed the moral event horizon some time ago and needs to die horribly in the season finale, though. It's great when a show gives the main character cancer and you end up kind of rooting for the cancer.
