Maybe it's just because Sakai was associated with Sinclair and their scenes were the black hole of emotional awkwardness.

But I still wish that there were more Sakai storylines after that first season.

With Lise, there's just nothing. Bad actress. Bad dialogue. No real story of her own. The fact that JMS could write decent female characters makes her just that much worse.
