I think these are all good suggestions, particularly the part about having an understudy. I'm no longer an active part of the collective, but years later, the Zoe issue is still there - and people still resent her. The thing is, there's no gatekeeping or way to filter out lazy activists, or indeed established way to deal with more toxic people. Neither do I see Zoe moving on from that collective any time soon. It's limped on for a lot of years, though, so let's hope it will keep going for some more.
