I can't say one way or another what she's like as a person—and admittedly I'm biased because of how much I love her books—but she struck me as more clueless-but-well-intentioned, and then defensive, than anything else. I didn't like her reactions, and I really, really didn't like the people who defended her, but I got the sense that she was at least willing to engage with the criticism eventually. As opposed to Moon, who is just an asshole, and I have no desire to read her books at all.
