I have finally seen the speech he gave prior to the vote. And the logic is hilariously, awesomely wrong.
First, he tries to tell us what a coup d'état is. And, of course, he is wrong.
Second, he says supporting the measure is tantamount to destroying democracy and telling the public that their votes don't count. Gee, I don't think your antics were in your platform.
Third, he says his father was a Bible study teacher and says that he stands with the poor. People are literally laughing at him during the speech.
And all of this is before he gets to his strange Desert Storm comparison: “If you think American-style politics is nasty, you guys have just attacked Kuwait.”
