One of the papers on Wednesday was on this topic - not by a philosopher, but from a guy in the Institute for Sustainable Technology Policy. He had a go at the idea that we can make an environmental impact by being more enlightened consumers. Also mentioned a book by Clive Hamilton called Growth Fetish which came out at the beginning of the year - have either of you read it?
