I've never seen B5, although it's supposedly a better version of DS9, which I loved. I should probably watch it at some point; people keep recommending it to me. (A former roommate of mine insisted that the Cardassian occupation of Bajor was meant to parallel the Indonesian occupation of East Timor, but he may have been stretching it.)
