Because it's been bothering me...
Has anyone ever written a thesis applying Foucault's analysis of the Panopticon to the design of open-concept offices?

My boss sits in the open area.
At the moment, there is way too much noise in here for me to be focused. I'm much more productive at home; even if the kitties are distracting and I take more breaks, my quality of work is much higher.
Yep, I'm an editor and typesetter.
