observation

Dear people on Bloor St.,

When it unexpectedly starts to pour rain and you see some poor bedraggled and obviously exhausted soul hauling a basket of drenched laundry that she just cleaned, running frantically to avoid getting her clothes and the books she was carrying to read at the laundromat more soaked than they already are, it might not be the best time to a) laugh, b) point out, "I guess you didn't pick the time to do your laundry, hahaha," or c) wolf-whistle and yell, "Looks like they're clean now, hyuk!"

But it's okay. I wasn't using that extra faith in humanity, anyway.

Bastards.

Last week I was walking to my usual coffeeshop when it started to gently rain (though "gentle rain" here might be taken for a light drizzle or just high humidity other places). As it was almost a 2 km. walk, I was pleasantly damp when I ordered chai and sat down. A few minutes later, someone went out the front door and was fumbing with something. It took me a couple seconds to recognize that what they were doing was opening an umbrella. Things have changed since I lived farther east.
