It's zombie-time!

So I'm almost certainly going on the Toronto Zombiewalk 2006. I have just been to Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up zombie-making supplies (a.k.a. cheap Halloween makeup and my Xanax prescription). Only one thing remains to be decided: What kind of zombie should I be?

As you know, many people, from all walks of life, join the ranks of the walking dead every day. But my choice of costumes is limited by the clothing I actually own. So, under the cut, are some options that I've been considering. Feel free to come up with your own.

[Poll #849610]

By the way, is anyone else planning to go?

was this intentional, because it was hilarious if it was...

I didn't vote for Commie!Zombie, because if you wanted to be one of those, you could join the Trotskyist League, Canadian Section of the International Communist League (Fourth International). There's a free frontal lobotomy with every bundle of copies of Spartacist Canada and Workers Vanguard.

xanax zombitis! though apparently the new rage is ambien zombitis. they should rename it zombien.

It's easy to make pom poms, by the way. Although I imagine a cheerleader zombie would probably end up losing them right away, what with the frantic search for brains and all. But all you have to do is get some colourful plastic bags (or black garbage bags), cut them in to long strips, fold in half and tie off.

This turns me on.

Might go. We went last year but it will be hard to match the surrealism of crashing the MOVE gig at Dundas Square.

Commies all the way. You could even go as Zombie![insert personal commie hero] and make it even more fun.

[identity profile] terry-terrible.livejournal.com 2006-10-20 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I voted for commie zombie, because there are people who will probably think up with cheerleader, schoolgirl or punk zombie but "commie zombie" is a really unique idea. Not to mention fun!

Hmm, Zombie Joe Hill? "I never died, said he."

I've been contemplating Stalin Hipster for Halloween. You know, Stalin, he had that sweet hipster stache. Just put him in a CCCP shirt and some tight jeans and cowboy boots, maybe a hammer and sickle pin on the trucker hat... it would work!

As a person who, in a former life, did pharma research trials on Ambien, I find "zombien" highly amusing, and highly appropriate for some people.

Don't mourn, eat bbbbrrraaaaiiiinnnns!

Absolutely! It was all very civilsed.

i second the approval and have sent it to committee.
photographic evidence is required to enter into history books, backdated for 1908.
HUZZAHS!

I second that.

It's not like you'll live to regret it or anything.

Maybe I should be commie zombie as well when I give out candies to the neighbourhood little kids for halloween, instead of Sad Clown.

[identity profile] andreazenith.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be a whole new generation of kidlets terrified of clowns. LMAO.

How about a cat-zombie? =~.^= We could make you kitty ears out of felt! MUAH!

[identity profile] esizzle.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
A Zombie walk? cool, I didn't hear of it, so much stuff go es on in Toronto its crazy!

You can go as a zombie soldier killed in aghanistan (optional: from friendly fire) marching to the US border to unintentially and ironically avenge its death? I'm just throwing the suggestion out there..

[identity profile] pluvka.livejournal.com 2006-10-22 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
i hate that i am missing this even though i think zombies are overrated. sigh, toronto!
i think the commie zombie is the best idea, but you could totally do the cheerleader zombie in the freezing cold. you'd need thick tights and a bomber jacket or something, but you could pull it off.

[identity profile] pluvka.livejournal.com 2006-10-22 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
ah, i thought i'd seen you wearing one in a picture. guess not!
commie zombie it is, then. unless for some reason it becomes amazingly warm on the day of the zombie walk. i suppose it's possible, right?

[identity profile] pluvka.livejournal.com 2006-10-22 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
what about 'nuclear waste zombie from the bottom of lake ontario'? then you could go along with the soaking wet look.

[identity profile] esizzle.livejournal.com 2006-10-22 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I tried! I tried finding people to join me but no luck, and cheesy fun needs other people around for it to be fun, you know what I mean? Of course there is always next year.

[identity profile] seaya.livejournal.com 2006-10-22 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
My friend L said Ambien made her sleep-eat.

[identity profile] lopukhov.livejournal.com 2006-10-23 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
One of my very close friends became a Spart recently :(
