It isn't a political objection (actually, when they've done political episodes I've generally found them cute). It's just that I don't find the show funny. It's the same joke over and over again. I don't get the mad Simpsons love at all. But then, I'm hardpressed to name a sitcom that I do find funny. The only ones I can think of offhand are Canadian black humour shows like The Newsroom and Twitch City, which don't really resonate as funny for anyone outside of the GTA.

I also find the sitcom dynamic of the schtubby overgrown manchild and the thin, pretty, and humourless wife deeply painful to watch. This rules out 90% of portrayals of married couples on TV.
