Commencing Operation Paint All the Things
I have acquired ridiculous amounts of teal paint for nefarious purposes.
By nefarious purposes, I mean painting furniture to match my hair.
Yes, I am punk rock Martha Stewart, why do you ask?

The plan is that the nightstand and my grandmother's desk are definitely going to be teal. I managed to acquire four pressed back chairs, which are maybe going to be teal, though I'm tempted to do something else with them and I need to have another look at the kitchen table to see how well they'd go. Then I found out that you can actually paint wood veneer, so I have solved my "fuuuuuck, none of the bookshelves match" problem. They will be teal on the outside and I think dark blue on the inside, but I haven't decided yet.
Accordingly, before and after shots will be required. The nightstand is first, though, since it's the easiest.

But what if you re-dye your hair - will you have to repaint all the furniture? Or is it teal hair for the duration?

But I think I'm keeping my hair teal for awhile. For one thing, it lasts longer than red and is therefore cheaper and easier to maintain, and for another thing, I have a reputation now.

You can also have a good laugh when it comes time for me to actually attempt this monumental task.

I'm having a really hard time not buying all the orange things in the world.

Then I read that you could paint laminate. And this might be an even better solution, because I don't like having things completely match, and I know if I ever found matching bookshelves they'd be the type where you can't adjust the height to fit art books. Or super-expensive, one of the two.

That's all I'll say, except "I love teal."
