The ever-articulate Honourable Wife-Beater on conflict-of-interest allegations:

Ruby is “going to cross-examine me and they want me out of office, and if I lose the court case I guess I lose my job and, uh, I don’t know, it really bothers me, it really bothers me, so just hope for the best,” he said.

The best is Ford losing his job.

And then getting run out of town. With pitchforks. Yes. This would make me very happy indeed.

Ooh, that would be fantastic! I think I'd book a flight to Canada to see Rob Ford chased out of town by an angry pitchfork-wielding mob. (Or indeed to be part of such a mob).

Sadly, I've been reading that he might keep his job if it turns out that he was merely ignorant of the law he was violating. And the one thing I think he's good at is being ignorant of stuff.

I dunno; we thought we were getting that with O'Brien but it never really worked out. He seemed to think the court case being inconclusive was a huge vindication for him.
