Re: Doctor Who: The Empty Child

Okay, so in the first 10 minutes, we had zeppelins, gas masks, and a kitty.

They're randomly reaching into my brain, pulling out things that make me go "SQUEE," and putting them into a TV show, aren't they?

I was just thinking the same thing.

hey. Do you remember a few weeks ago I said that there was this wobbly from Europe looking to meet some wobblies in Toronto? Well, I was wondering if it was ok if I gave him your contact info (or at least the link to http://www.fairlyunusual.com/) since you're the closest thing to a wobbly I know of in Toronto.

Well if they make me sexy...
*digs the gas mask out of the closet*

I am so amused!
During the first gulf war we had to wear them every night so I can attest to the fact that you are right.

I'd like to insist on seeing it... :P

You must be doing something right then... kind of like deja vu.

:P

That episode is genius. Probably one of the best bits of TV I've seen in years.

[identity profile] cdaae.livejournal.com 2005-06-01 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree... and the whole atmosphere, and the gas masks, really freaked me out. If I'd watched that at the age of 7 I would have had nightmares for days.

[identity profile] uberbitsch.livejournal.com 2005-06-01 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It pretty much had everything. It was creepy, it was moving, it was well shot, the dialogue was good...

I'd MUCH sooner have paid to see THAt in the cinema than sodding revenge of the bloody sith.

The BBC is one of the few things that makes me pleased to be British.

Eh, I'm scottish anyway. it's ENGLAND that's responsible for empire.

Damn straight! And the kilt shop in Edinburgh that makes black leather kilts for men. >:D

[identity profile] uberbitsch.livejournal.com 2005-06-01 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, they'll make 'em for women too. But traditionally they're a men's thing and my GOD, the number of men who look good in them is astounding.

[identity profile] uberbitsch.livejournal.com 2005-06-01 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
There's a guy who lives on my street who seems to wear kilts most days. He's got an assortment in leather, camouflage, black leather...

AND very good legs for it too.

totally makes up for last week's episode.

[identity profile] threeliesforone.livejournal.com 2005-06-01 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
