One in the coffin, thousands still in the fight

jamie_miller: As usual, VICE has the best coverage of everything. This article is about the struggle in Greece against Golden Dawn and their cop buddies; the author spent a night with anti-fascist protestors following the murder of rapper Killah P.
The political situation in Greece is terrifying; my heart goes out to everyone there who is fighting the good fight. If anyone hears of a way to help (is it International Brigades time yet? It almost feels like it is), do let me know?

This is what I've been wondering too. From reading other articles it sounds like Golden Dawn is trying to start a Greece-wide mood of civil war but for now it's "just" clashes between them and everyone else. But if there's some way to help I'd be interested in knowing what it is.

I wonder if the Greek anarchists and communists need money. There have been some solidarity protests here, which I'm sure makes them feel loved if they ever hear about them, but I'd like to be able to help materially.

I think it would be foolish for the KKE and Syriza(Sp?) to refuse to work with more centrist and even right-wing groups who are opposing GD.
GD must be crushed with full force and all partisan politics must be put aside in the meantime to crush fascism while it's still partially nascent than let it fester with a tepid approach.
I hope there will be no need for international brigades, but I have seen plenty of calls this past year or so, in case a need arises.
I wish the Greek anarchists would start playing like they do when they assassinate politicians. I do wonder why we haven't seen them become more aggressive and violent, unless the State has been effective at destroying the more radical and violent elements in the Greek Anarchist movement in the past 13 years.
