In other news, the sky is blue

SUVs suck, octopuses rule, and Bush likes killing Arabs.

It's nice to know that the world never changes.

True, but most goths I knew when I was goth also listened to the Cure. They didn't admit it out loud. Whatever. I looked through their CD collections.

Oh, I should add... there is good goth music. It's called Bauhaus.

My self-identifying goth housemates swear by Sisters of Mercy as well.

I still like them too, on occasion, but not as much.

My love for the Legendary Pink Dots has not abated, but they're not really goth, either.

I listen to goth even though I've NEVER been a goth. And I saw The Dots; they were atrocious live. I mean, it was just embarrassing.

Seriously? I've seen them twice now (well, the second time was Edward Ka-Spell solo) and they were awesome.

I hated it. The show bored me to tears, and there were hippie goths fluttering around like it was a Grateful Dead concert. The "Modern Man" spoken word number was particularly silly. Oh, and when the saxophonist started thrusting his pelvis in some girl's face while wearing a lascivious leer on his old man mug... gross. It was kind of entertaining that Edward Ka-spel performed in his jammies, though.

I'm just glad that Rasputina put on a pretty decent opening act.
