Still more ways to help

SOPUDEP School is a school in Petion-ville, Haiti, that serves the poorest children in the city. As of this morning, there was no word on the condition of the school, but it's been confirmed that the director, Réa Dol, is alive. The resources of the school and its teachers are being fully mobilized to assist the neighbouring population.

Yele (formerly known as the Wyclef Jean Foundation; 100% of the funds go directly to the relief operation.

Haiti Action Committee is working directly with the Haiti Emergency Relief Fund.

Canada and Haiti is Yves Engler's issue. I'm having trouble finding a link with a long view analysis though...don't have time to really dig but this looks like the best:

Everything online seems to revolve around the most recent coup and subsequent peacekeeping chicanery. Want more.

Somewhere I've got a raw studio tape of Chomsky talking about Haiti at Vision TV in 95. I'll have to try to dig that one out.

Press for Change, the magazine of the Coalition to Oppose the Arms Trade, did four really good issues on Canada's role in Haiti.
