Evo es presidente

sabotabbyI had some time to kill after work, so I grabbed a pizza slice and watched CNN on the TV with no sound on. Ever tried that? It's hard to follow -- just random images and ticker-text. Anyway, they were showing scenes from the Bolivian elections with the caption "'NIGHTMARE' ELECTION." It looked like people were firing teargas, which I'm not sure is an accurate portrayal of what actually went on there (correct me if I'm wrong, folks).
From what little I know of the present situation in Bolivia, I think the election of Evo Morales is a good thing. So naturally, CNN, mouthpiece of the White House, would think it was a bad thing. But I'm surprised that they'd be so blatant about it. To me, a "nightmare election" is one in which 30 people get killed by a roadside bomb on their way to vote, or one in which the choice is between Kerry and Bush. Not, well, one in which the guy favoured by a majority of voters presents some rather sensible ideas and then wins a majority of votes.
I love watching American news sometimes.
