Oh man. I don't know what I can say that hasn't already been said better. But:
1) The WikiLeaks people, as WikiLeaks people, are goddamned heroes. 2) Anyone who calls for Assange's assassination, including Palin and that dude from the Conservative Party, should be charged with uttering death threats up to conspiracy to commit murder, depending on their ability to actually carry out said assassination. 3) I have not seen the evidence for or against Assange as it applies to the alleged sexual assault. He may have done it, in which case he's entitled to a fair trial. However, since the local cops don't generally bother with going after rapists, I am glad to see Interpol taking that up and hope they will go after all the rapists with as much gusto and determination.
