Yeah, it's a big thing for him. He has decided that he hates goths, and was never goth himself - Sisters was and is a... punk band or something? Now he wear white and neon to gigs and refuses to tlak to anyone wearing black.
Of course, claiming you're not goth is just another sign of being a goth band. Robert Smtih, Siouxsie Sioux and Peter Murphy have all made similar claims. However, Eldritch is the only one who insists on being a massive cockface about it.
