I was just reading a nice debate on that (I'd link to it, but it's on FB)—and yeah. That is important, and just as offensive as the class angle. There's the prison in Foreigncountrystan (note that terrorists have to be from former Soviet countries now, so they can still be ambiguously ethnic and Muslim, but not Arab), and then there's the imagery of tanks and dirty guys in keffiyahs brandishing automatic weapons. Not cool, Nolan.
