I would argue that having clarity of criteria would attract a different type of people, who get a sense of what they're getting into, also what they're /not/ getting into...
Yeah, my point was in part to keep the visioning separate from the operations; otherwise if you change the vision regularly everyone has to re-adjust to a new reality all the time and that's alienating.
