Yep - and that's the problem. Insecure "nice guy" doesn't try to place himself in any other perspective but his own. If he isn't educated on this then he has no chance to understand, so sabotabby at least gave him an opportunity to hear it at least once in his life. Whether he continues to get the message in other forms, one can only guess -- I hope so. Not in this manner, of course, I hope he posts on Reddit and some of the folks fighting the good fight there help continue to push at that privilege.
I doubt anything will happen, but the fact sabotabby did speak up is a good thing in the end, as terrifying and awful as it was for her.
