Yes. I was expecting something to go catastrophically wrong, or for them to realize that the reset would erase Peter and Etta from existence (which would have been a much more painful decision for everyone).
Oh, and I was also annoyed because the Etta we know as a character remains dead. We lose the heroic resistance fighter and get the 6-year-old girl. Yay?
Also, there's an easier way. Michael's powers make Observer brains explode or something. Instead of sending him to the Observers' creation, they send him to the moment Windmark decides that invading the past is a good call. September is supposed to go with him, because why split up two father/son pairs, but at the last minute he dies so Walter has to go instead. Cue angst. But the Observers still exist, and thus Peter and Etta still exist. We still lose adult resistance-fighter Etta and presumably the tulip doesn't get mailed, but it makes much more sense.
