Friend him. Apparently his twitter account mentions the book (mostly in jokes about cutting out scenes with Locke and Jean singing Defying Gravity) and that's the one he's updating these days. But just friend him because he's cool.
(I didn't know you hadn't friended him - he was one of the frequent commenters on Mamatas' blog which is how I met him)
And I'm still resisting reading the second book. Because I know once I read it, I'm going to be stuck waiting for book # 3 and I'm already doing that with Martin. (I also bought Patrick Rothfuss' first book which seems to be another series that has fans stuck waiting for sequels)
