[Error: unknown template qotd]I have a terrible memory, particularly when I'm hitting my limit of stimulus or ability to cope, which is 100% of the time when I'm not on vacation. I have three lists: a daily task list at work, short-term non-work things on my phone, and long-term goals on my computer. The last one of these is a Chrome plug-in that gives you a pretty picture, an offensive (to me) motivational statement, and a checklist of shit to do every time you open up a new tab.

Between this I manage to not overbook as often, and can tackle things in a slightly less frantic way. But it makes me marginally functional, not capable.

I can't remember what my worst moment caused by forgetting something was. :)

Staying on top of it all is challenging I use a bunch of different organizing apps but I have yet to find the perfect, full featured reminders/alerts app.

Vomit vomit vomit. I admit I use Gmail [hangs head] but I try and avoid Google in my daily life as much as is humanly possible.

(Right…no Starbucks for me either; in a recent Yelp review, I refer to my new favorite coffee shop as "the anti-Starbucks.")

I have the same issues; I usually just use plain old paper (like calendars or notebooks) to remember stuff. Have you seen this? It's probably more fun than that Chrome plug-in.

I love that Chrome plugin, use it at work :). If you're interested in other task-management options, I've had a good experience with Trello.

Oh also, if you go to the settings you can turn off the motivational statement. I keep it on so I can laugh derisively every morning.

That app looks like a lot of fun! I'm gonna check it out. Thanks.

It would be nice if the message could be dismissed.

I have no idea, I haven't used it on a phone. It's pretty fun though I have some trouble sticking to it... if you end up using it, let me know, we can team up on there! :D
