Think happy thoughts
Sep. 1st, 2005 09:46 amIt's safe to say that most of you are feeling pretty down this week. So am I. (Although I do have exciting plans for the weekend.) The first thing I read today was eye magazine's obituary for Ninjalicious (I'd link to it, but it's apparently not on the site yet), which was bittersweet in a way -- it reinforced both what a loss his death was but also what'd he'd managed to accomplish in 31 years. And it makes me grateful, in a way, to read about someone who loved Toronto as much as I do. Most people who live here, I've noticed, are either insane or looking for a way out.
I can't read the news lately. It's hard enough to see my friends list sometimes.
Anyway...I'm not going to be around much this weekend if all goes well, but I'll be back Monday or Tuesday with some fabulous stories. I hope. In the meantime, I want to try to cheer everyone up in the most cooperative and participatory manner possible. Which means that I want everyone to post something in the comments that makes you happy or that you think will make someone else happy. I think we can all use a smile.
I'll start. For all you editors: Lesser-Known Editing and Proofreading Marks.
EDIT: Another thing that made me laugh: Too dumb to be Objectivists! Hat tip to
