Now, I don't really have a problem with adults participating in UFC (maybe some of you have good arguments as to why I should; I don't have an opinion one way or the other), and I think it's totally cool to promote martial arts in the schools if the emphasis is on fitness and self-defence, but um. UFC was banned here until recently because it was considered too violent. Perhaps it should maybe not be a thing we are doing in schools. Just a thought.
I think there's a middle ground between banning balls in elementary schools and having kids beat the everloving shit out of each other. Between those two extremes lies, well, most things. How about maybe working on keeping swimming pools open or building more skate parks or something?
Besides, as much as the Fords want to control everything, education is a provincial responsibility. Did they seriously not know this?
