Via @symbioid: The White House wants new federal buildings built in the classical style.
Look, compared to concentration camps for tots and travel bans and attacks against queer and trans folks and all of it, really, this almost doesn't seem worth getting upset about except that I have a wee bit of an education in art history and know a thing or two about classical architecture.
And therefore I declare that if they do this, it is the solemn duty of all aesthetes, historians, and pedants to paint these new buildings in the classical style in the name of historical accuracy.
