I mean, that's the definition. But because we do get paid a shitload, we have false consciousness and identify with the goals and values of the upper class.
Most of the economy here is service sector (manufacturing being largely outsourced) and that's nearly all BIPOC. The only large segments of traditional white working class are the extractive industries, and they tend to be quite reactionary.
