Black 47 covered it. Not only did they do it angry (albeit with a horn section), but they changed one of the choruses to "It's always the rich who lead us to the wars, always the poor to fall," which actually made it better. I think N. is going to talk his band into covering it, and he's trying to get me to sing it, which scares me silly.
There's been some similar drama in Toronto. I try to stay out of it because I have friends across the political spectrum but that's just not cool.
