I feel differently about Dachau (and other concentration camps—I've been to Buchenwald but not Dachau). I guess my feeling is that the purpose of going to concentration camps is to remember the horrors of fascism, and I didn't come away thinking, "well, I guess we'd better carpet bomb the Germans then."
ETA: That and none of the victims of Dachau actually lived on the ground of the concentration camp and are displaced from their homes so the government can make a ghoulish tourist attraction.
