Oh, it's really not a thing that the kids say anymore.
There's a lot that's weirdly antiquated about the book. Like, the girl has a D&D group back home (which is close enough that the evil ex-boyfriend can ride up and stalk her and/or take her on a trip to the city). And yet, it never occurs to her to play remotely with them, or even talk to them.
