I suspect you might enjoy the Wizards vs Lesbians ep on Someone You Can Build a Nest In; they felt very much the same way you did (includng singling out "allosexual virgins" as an example of something it makes zero sense for the characters to say; it's there purely as a reflexive gesture to ward off the possibility that some reader could possibly conclude that a remark about "virgins" without qualification might be somehow aphobic).
