The first person I'd ever heard use the N-bomb and mean it (i.e., he wasn't talking about Huck Finn or quoting hip hop lyrics) was a Jewish defense lawyer in New York. And hell, my extended family is pretty racist, although more in a protectionist, self-ghettoizing way than a "let's drive out the immigrants" sort of way.
