Christmas is a fairly recent thing in my family (like, the last few years), so while it's pretty fun and all, my childhood memories of this time of year involve being forced to sing about the baby Jesus in the school gymnasium. Or worse, having it mentioned that, just for me, we'd be forced to sing one token "Hanukkah carol." It was a recipe for brain trauma.
