The making of a pretty good weekend

• Met![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
dobrovolets and [spouse] IRL.
• Went to Word on the Street and bought books (One Hundred Years of Solitude, Gabriel García Márquez; The Scar, China Miéville; The Possibilities, Howard Barker; and the second issue of Violet Miranda: Girl Pirate, Emily Pohl-Weary). I know you were all afraid that I didn't have enough books.
• Made curry.
• Watched episodes of Veronica Mars withzingerella and human_loser, post-curry.
• Bore witness to Billy Bragg's impersonation of a small hamster eating a biscuit twice the size of its own head. I mean, the entire show was all kinds of awesome, but finding out that Billy goes on YouTube and watches kitten videos was, bizarrely, among the highlights for me.
One thing I did not do this weekend:
• Get a great deal of sleep.
Oh well.
