The song lyrics game, round two!
Jul. 25th, 2008 06:17 pmBy overwhelming request, the theme of this weekend’s Guess the Song Lyrics is: The Cheesiest Music on Sabo’s iTunes.
Now, being moral relativists, we all define “cheesy” differently. The criteria I’m using is as follows:
You have picked up a hot Insufferable Music Snob and hauled this person back to your bedroom for some nookie. Out of courtesy to your roommate, significant other, upstairs neighbour, children, parents, or anyone else in hearing distance, you put your iTunes on shuffle to cover up the noise. Just as things are getting fun, a new song comes on—and it prompts you to blush, giggle, and say: “I don’t really listen to that it’s just on there.”
Also cheesy doesn’t necessarily mean popular. A few of these are quasi-obscure. Most of these are songs that I actually like and aren't on for ironic reasons.
New rules: You get a point for the name of the song and for the name of the artist. (For example, if your answer for: “Most people looked at him with terror and with fear but to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dear” is “Rasputin” by Turisas, you get one point, because the Turisas’ version is badass Viking metal. Whereas the original, by Boney M, is pretty cheesy. And yes, I have both versions on my iTunes.)
