Photodump: Slices of life on the East End

sabotabbyThere were a lot of photos on my card when I purged it today. Most I can't show you, since they're of my kids, but can I mention once again how in love I am with my camera?
The other day I went for a walk and got one photo that I'm unreasonably proud of:
I think I like it enough to maybe Photoshop a different sky in and do something with it. What, I'm not exactly sure.
There is a guy who has a convenience store on Broadview who makes these creepy painted wooden sculptures. The store itself never has anything you want in it, but the sculptures are cool.
WAIT WHY DOES THE CHICKEN HAVE LIPS? CHICKENS DO NOT NEED LIPS. DO THEY? AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
Finally, here is a drunk Russian girl named Natalia whom I met last night at McVeigh's.
She wanted to take pictures of me and J., and ordered us to make out. "More tongue!" she kept crying out. She used the opportunity to swipe J.'s beer. He figured the half-pint was worth the entertainment value of having her at our table for a few minutes.
It was total international night at McVeigh's last night. Besides the Russian girl, we met a whole bunch of Mexican students who were headed to Western for a contest, and this British journalist I vaguely know who used to work for Al Jazeera. And the entire time I was there, no one puked or had to be forcibly removed, which for McVeigh's on St. Paddy's is pretty damn good.
ETA: HOLY SHIT FACTORY TAKEOVER IN CANADA.
