Belated Day 2 post

Sleep is good. Okay, here's the photodump from yesterday.

The new addition on the left is
ivytheadventure, completing our happy band of adventurers. We are wondering if
culpster intended to travel with a blond, a brunette, and a redhead.
We caught breakfast at the Sleepless Goat in Kingston.

Foucault says not to steal. You should listen to Foucault.

Then we took the ferry across to Wolfe Island. Wolfe Island is full of adorable.

Lots of windmills.

Then another ferry across to the U.S. These were the nicest border guards ever. One of them had seen the Donkey Kong movie and so he totally understood.

From there, it was a loooong drive through the Adirondacks with lots and lots of pretty scenery.

And into Small Town America.
We had dinner at a somewhat less-than-authentic Indian restaurant (protip: palak paneer is not supposed to be radioactive green), and met the Film Geeks in Plattsburgh to watch The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T. and Let's Kill Uncle. We were supposed to camp at this one site, but the combination of total darkness and wrong directions in the campsite guide meant about an hour of driving up country roads without success. Finally we caved and ended up at the motel.
So from here on, we're driving to Burlington and New Hampshire. The goal is to hit Laconia by today. We're also camping, so I'm probably offline until Monday.
