IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...

Opening Credits:
Leon Gieco, "En el pais de la libertad"

...so this is a movie about my activism, I guess.

Waking Up:
The Tallest Man on Earth, "Into the Stream"

"I've set the rain to be cold and hard / I've set the sun to be bright and sharp / To wake you up
from your hollow dream / I'll shake your bed with a thunder strike from my hand"

So anyway.

First Day At School:
The Ramones, "Chinese Rock"

I did not do heroin at the age of five.

Falling In Love:
Amanda Palmer feat. Zoë Keating, "Astronaut"

I think that might be the theme song of anyone who has ever had the unpleasant experience of falling for me, rather than the other way around.

Fight Song:
Metric, "Sick Muse"

Sure.

Breaking Up:
Sisters of Mercy, Gerard McMann, "Cry Little Sister"

I was never entirely sure about this song. It has disturbing subtext. By which I mean "disturbing actual text."

Prom:
Basia Bulat, "Little Waltz"

If they played anything that good at my high school prom, I might have actually gone. Wait, why am I getting into epic fights to Metric before I've even graduated? I think I might be too old for this meme.

Life is good:
Paul Roland, "Berlin"

I did like Berlin a lot. Granted, this song is about Weimer-era Berlin, but hey, it works.

Mental Breakdown:
Artist unknown, "H Block Song"

And then I was an IRA prisoner on a hunger strike? For some reason.

Driving:
The Decemberists, "Apology Song"

I was about to ask why I'm driving in a story about my life. But apparently, I'm driving a bicycle. Which is then stolen. Makes as much sense as anything else.

Flashback:
Tom Waits, "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag"

Which begs the question why the director didn't just focus on this part of my life.

Getting Back Together:
Sam Hinton, "Old Man Atom"

Apparently this film is a rom com about me and Doctor Manhattan?

Wedding:
The Weakerthans, "Little Pictures"

Aww. Wait, why am I getting married, exactly?

Final Battle:
The Tossers, "Young Ned of the Hill"

I am increasingly confused about the genre of this film.

Death Scene:
Björk, "Vertebrae By Vertebrae"

I got nothing.

Funeral Song:
Gogol Bordello, "Rebellious Love"

I put the fun back in funeral.

End Credits:
Regina Spektor, "Sailor Song"

This is a really good end credits song.

You may now go ahead and make up a plot for me.
