I was too busy drowning in work and health miseries to do anything exciting to commemorate International Women's Day.

It seems a bit disingenuous to even make a "happy IWD everyone!" post. After all, we live in a world where the puppet government that we murdered countless Afghans to install flat-out stated that it considers women "secondary," Virginia mandates invasive and unnecessary medical procedures for women who need abortions, and Rush Limbaugh exists. Not a ton to celebrate—better steel ourselves for the battles ahead.

On a more trivial but related note, I'm planning to re-print my Rebel Girl design. Anyone interested in getting some printed up?

I am horribly upset about the Virginia decision.

OTOH, womzilla and I are delighting in hubris meeting nemesis after Rush's horrific statements. W. reports to me with glee each sponsor Rush lost, and last night that Rush's show had five minutes of dead air when commercials should have gone.

I actually take this as a very good sign, because people are used to RL saying horrific things and getting away with them. The reaction makes me think that the country is not getting worse overall but more polarized, with anti-women forces and pro-women forces both more active. This is clearly bad news when it comes to state or local law, but I think it is good news nationally.

Also, I'll be happy to see Rush disappear and hence an end to anti-fat jokes about him, as though one couldn't think of thousands of more relevant things to make fun of.

I wouldn't mind a rebel girl tee or two for gifts.

I hope you are feeling somewhat better and improvement is available to you knee pain wise.

Thanks! I'm—surviving. Cut down on the morphine a lot, but I still can't sit for long periods of time.

I love your rebel girl design, would definitely be interested in getting something printed, probably a t-shirt, that is if there is not an issue with shipping accross the pond, Obviously I would re-imburse all costs, but I know international shipping can be a pain.

Also those articles are really eye opening, it's the only thing i've heard about the first one, you would have thought something like that would be more widespread!

I think material of any sort folds up pretty small and is not a huge deal to ship, but if you could cover costs, that would be rad.

Umm small, colours are so hard to choose! Especially now that my hair seems to clash with everything! Maybe dark blue on bright blue, or bright blue on grey. Or maybe dark green on lighter green? What do you think?

I'll see what I can find. (T-shirt colours are sometimes limited to "what's on sale and is in women's sizes.") Dark on light in general works better for this print, because otherwise the faces look reversed and don't look as much like faces.
