I regaled everyone at our Spirit of the Century game yesterday with this completely awesome song, and the_axel suggested that I post it for the rest of you.

(Somewhere, in a slightly more awesome universe than ours, there is a stage production of Cabaret that also features Lydia Lunch as Sally Bowles and Nick Cave as Cliff Bradshaw.)

On the general topic, did you know I got to see NPH as the emcee in Cabaret, on Broadway? We had floor seats -- it was a fantastic show.

I'm torn on casting the MC. On the one hand, Blixa doing "Willkommen." On the other hand, Rowland doing "If You Could See Her." It's one of those situations where everyone involved is technically creepy enough to pull off the role.

I like the idea of Rowland and Lydia Lunch together again. Once of my top ten concert experiences was seeing them play in the front room of Perth pub in 1994 or 1995.

I am not going on record admitting that I wrote a lunatic crossover fanfic where Blixa visits Skyrim, but... well, the story exists, and somebody did write it.

I know nothing about Skyrim other than that it involves lots of side-quests and possibly arrows to the knee, but that's fucking hilarious. Bless your heart.

Haha, I wrote a lot of pretty ridic stuff about Skyrim a couple of years ago, like an EMBARRASSING amount of stuff, which you can read if you are bedridden for like two days and logged into a laptop that will load nothing but my Livejournal. You can meet Farkas here; our dramatic wedding story is here; you can see what our domestic life looks like here; and the trend of writing text messages between Skyrim characters began here and continued to an absurd level in comments across three journals. (Sadly that is only like 1/3 of my posts on the subject.)

I am only linking these things for information, I promise. It is totally okay if you do not read this stuff. In fact it is probably BETTER IF YOU DON'T.

I remember when my kids got all obsessed with Skyrim and I made a reference in class and they were all excited.

Alas, I am hopeless at modern video games and can't manage anything more complicated than Space Invaders because I have no hand-eye coordination.
