Timey-wimey cake

So who wants to see Doctor Who themed baking? I mean, most of you, obviously.
Look what
lienne,
cupric_acetate, and I baked.

Isn't it magnificent?

We were going to attempt to write "cake" in Gallifreyan on the top but we settled for shiny balls.

Oh, it was actually tasty, by the way. Gingerbread cake with vanilla cream cheese frosting.

Alas, eating the chocolates themselves presents a bit of a challenge.

Bonus non-timey-wimey cupcake.
So, yeah. That happened. I'm looking for a solution to make TARDIS and Dalek chocolates that aren't quite so dense for the Inevitable 50th Anniversary Theme Party, so any (easy) ideas would be most welcome. At the moment we're thinking cake interior. Though the other option is Jelly Babies inside the TARDISes and calamari inside the Daleks. That might be gross, though.
