I have been quiet on the intertubes for fun reasons (the awesome and wonderful smhwpf in town, opera with chickenfeet2003 and lemur_catta, drinks with the_axel) rather than reasons of just stress and angst. But now I have to read approximately a gazillion policy documents by yesterday so if I remain quiet for the next little while, that's why.

I have also been drinking more than I should, between the cat stuff and the job stuff and the social stuff, and it's taken a lot out of me. Time to not drink for a bit, I think.

Yeah don't drink too much. That's a bad aid that only has so much effectiveness. I wish I could drink but if I could I'd probably be doing the same thing you are.

I drank two drinks last week, and both times the next morning I was not exactly hungover, but things were more difficult. So avoiding things that make mornings even more difficult than usual is something I can wholeheartedly support.

I'm glad there are friends and music, though.

Sadly, my next stop is New York. Toronto's a manageable stopover on the way to a work thing in NYC, but sadly not Calgary. :-(

Next time I will have to let you know and we can co-ordinate visits to Toronto, as you periodically have cause to go there!
